Requirements
Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
Minimum of 3 years experience in the service and repairs of heavy vehicles
Good knowledge of CAT, CUMMINS & DETROIT Engines
Experienced with brake servicing including BPW , Hendrickson , and K-hitch axles
Welding skill (desirable)
Understanding of electrical circuits (desirable)
Attention to detail and excellent workmanship
Reliable, honest, and have a great work ethic
Responsibilities
Carry out all vehicle inspections
Identify mechanical faults and undertake repairs such as Diff, Gearbox and General Engine repairs
Carry out A,B,C service and repairs on Prime movers and heavy trailers equipped with BPW, K Hitch and Hendrickson intraax axles
Undertake service and maintenance procedures
